STAR - Chapter 6 : Tears run down his face

As the students noticed, Rai is courting me and there’s something going between us . well, there nothing going on. Except for the fact that I will say yes to Rai this 20th of July.
But one thing I have noticed. Rei is not around the school these past few days. Wonder what happened to him. I hope he’s feeling well.

“Hey, Mia. Let’s eat. My treat.” Oh, Here comes Rai.

So we went to the cafeteria to buy some food. There was Rei with his friends.

As I go nearer to him, his eyes try to tell me something. I just can’t figure it out. When I was just about to ask him if we can join them , He stood up and walk so fast, like I smell bad. I don’t know what’s wrong with him. Or did I say something wrong? Or is he just in bad mood? I don’t know. I can’t tell.

So we move to another table. Where it is quiet and quite romantic.
“You’re getting more beautiful each day, Mia”
“Oh thank you."Was all I can say to him.

He tried to kiss me, but I don’t know what happened to my senses. I just cant kiss him right now.

Maybe with what Rei was acting awhile ago made my mind confused. And also my heart.

So I decided to go to his room to consult what is his problem.

I knocked three times. He didn’t answer.

My sweaty palms hold the door knob. It was open. So I step in.

I saw him in his bed. With his guitar on his side. And the dashes on his wrists. I know he tried to kill himself by cutting his wrist. So as I see this, I came fastly towards him.

“Why in the world did you do this, Rei?” I asked angrily.

“What did make you do this, huh?” I asked again.

He just murmured something I couldn’t understand.

“Answer me!” I said in despair.

“I don’t know.” He said.
“I’m gonna ask you something.”
“please be honest with me.” He continued.

“are you going to say yes to Rai?” he asked.

My heart beats really fast. I don’t want to answer his question. But he asked again.

“ARE GOING TO SAY YES?” he asked, shouting.

“I don’t know.”

Then he stopped. He is trying to say something. But his mouth won’t open.

He stood up from his bed. Sitting, faced down. As I look at the floor. I see droplets of tears. He is crying. But why?

Then he looked at me, with his teary blue eyes. As his blue eyes reach my green eyes, I see the pain he is feeling inside. The pain that was once in my heart. The feeling of being left alone.
